The authorities accorded sanction to the execution of this Group Personal Accidental Insurance Policy through Oriental Insurance Company Limited for a period of 3 years commencing on December 2, an order issued by the authorities said.
Over 3.5 lakh workers of Jammu and Kashmir authorities will find a Rs 10 lakh private accidental insurance cover together with the government approving a policy proposal on Tuesday.
The authorities accorded sanction to the execution of this Group Personal Accidental Insurance Policy through Oriental Insurance Company Limited period of 3 years commencing on December 2, an order issued by the authorities said.
According to the order issued from the Finance Department, the coverage will pay an aggregate of over 3.50 lakh workers of their J&K Government (Gazetted and Non-Gazetted) for example employees of PSUs, autonomous bodies, local schools, and bodies, daily rated employees, consolidated, contractual, Adhoc workers and determined paid employees and SPOs.
The sum assured under this policy will be Rs 10 lakh (Rupees ten lakhs only) per worker against payment of a yearly premium of Rs 346 inclusive of GST, ” it stated.
The arrangement said all of the drawing and disbursing officers (DDOs) of these authorities will deduct Rs 346 from most types of workers from the wages of December 2019 on a mandatory basis.
Likewise, all of the DDOs shall remit a quantity of Rs 346 in government treasuries in regard to the workers for being insured under the scheme or before January 15, 2020, favorably and provide the backup together with the listing of their workers to the Nodal Officer, Group Personal Accidental Insurance Policy, Finance Department promptly.
The order reads that addition under Group Personal Accidental Insurance Policy won’t confer any rights aside from accidental insurance at all according to terms and conditions set down.
